[04:19.00]Late the other day when the earth turned away
[04:19.00]I found a little book [?] in the grey
[?] flower drawn like a child on the cover
[04:19.00]It was the story of the raven and the mushroom man
[04:19.00]He was the first real friend he ever had
[04:19.00]
[04:19.00]I never want to be like that serious man
[04:19.00]Telling himself he is serious
[04:19.00]Always counting those numbers
[04:19.00]He's got a red face and a mushroom head
[04:19.00]He's been too long in the rat race
[04:19.00]Too long in the dead days
[04:19.00]
[04:19.00]If only a raven with a sore wing
[04:19.00]Could fall at his feet with eyes full of mercy
[04:19.00]The little mushroom man might fashion
[04:19.00]A little splint out of driftwood
[04:19.00]And he might feel a little light shine
[04:19.00]He might see his own kindness
[04:19.00]And think that maybe counting isn't everything
[04:19.00]Maybe there are more ravens that need me more than numbers
[04:19.00]
[04:19.00]The mushroom man loved the raven so
[04:19.00]And deep inside his heart grew a thing called hope
[04:19.00]One Sunday night the raven was weak
[04:19.00]He didn't wake up and the mushroom man weeped
[04:19.00]Caused his planet to leak
[04:19.00]
[04:19.00]Well he buried his friend and he buried his books
[04:19.00]He looked out to space and his head he shook
[04:19.00]As he looked out across the escape
[04:19.00]A sapling rose grew from the raven's grace
[04:19.00]From the raven's grave hope had sprung
[04:19.00]He knew then how it had been done
[04:19.00]As he tended to the raven's wing a seed of hope had grown within
[04:19.00]And now it grows for all to see and his planet is no longer just he
