Cold Horizon EP
Manida aka Damian Kowerski, born in 1991, comes from Poland and produces mainly uplifting trance. He signed his first track in 2008 and has been developing his sound further ever since. His new EP Cold Horizon includes 3 original mixes of classic driving uplifting trance with airy synths, soaring leads, and emotional melodies. --- 1. Cold Horizon (Original Mix) Cold Horizon starts the EP with a classic trance riff on the bass, on which the main melody starts building. The breakdown brings in harmonic variation for the main theme and launches again in the lift-off. The original mix has a lot of energy with a rather upbeat feel and atmosphere. 2. Mesmerize (Original Mix) A bit darker in its feel, Mesmerize begins with a heavier bass and a grinding lead sequence. The middle part breaks into vast pads and a piano preparing for the kick-off with the return of the big lead theme. The percs and bass lash a forceful beat and the harmonic progression paints the main melody with powerful colours. 3. Magyar (Original Mix) The name "Magyar" refers to Hungary, and the track is as driving as the other originals in the bundle. The first part works as a prelude for the theme, with the bass locked down in unison, and again the break begins thematic development. Spaceous synths with natural sound effects create a serene passage to melodic ascension, giving way for trance leads to take over. 4. Cold Horizon (Lewis Dodkins Remix) Fresh contrast for the uplifting originals, Lewis Dodkins aka Innerstate has remixed Cold Horizon and the result is a groovy progressive trancer. The bassline gives a nice pumping feel for the track while the long-line theme of the original is played by a mellow piano. In the breakdown, the main theme is further developed and reinforced, and finally unleashed for the second part with synths and leads. Artist links: Manida Lewis Dodkins
