The latest EP on Alkalino's Audaz label comes from Ramboiage (AKA Lux Fragil club resident Vitor Silveira), a fellow Portuguese who has previously released on Sccucci Manucci and Love Monk. Like Alkalino, Ramboiage makes warm, comfortable deep house influenced by disco, as the rolling electronics and classic grooves of opener "Kill Your Darlings" proves. Better still is "It's True", a hazy chunk of Balearic deep house that evokes memories of classic productions from the likes of 808 State and Sueno Latino. Finally, "Needs" is a classic chunk of bumpin' late night deepness, with minor key chords and wobbly vocal samples combining to create a tipsy, glassy-eyed vibe.
